Carrion Sun

Terms

Last changed 7 October 2026.

The short of it. Carrion Sun is a live demo of an unfinished game. Play it for free, for yourself. It will change and it can break. If you buy it and regret it, ask within 14 days and you get your money back.

These terms are an agreement between you and the maker of Carrion Sun ("we"). By playing the game or using this website you accept them. If you do not, please do not play.

1. This is a live demo

Carrion Sun is in development and what is online is a live demo. It is unfinished. Rules, content, balance and saves can change with any update; a save, a seal or a place on a board can be lost; the game or parts of it can be offline or withdrawn without notice. Anything described as coming later is a plan, not a promise of a date.

2. Who may play

The game is dark in theme: violence, death, cruelty and despair, in words and drawings. It is meant for people aged 16 or over. If you are younger, play only with the permission of a parent or guardian.

3. What you may do

You may play the game for your own enjoyment, and you are welcome to stream it, record it and write about it. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the game or its text and art; pass your licence key around; interfere with the servers or other players; send false scores to the daily board; or use automated means to load the service beyond normal play.

4. Buying the game

The first region is free. When the whole game is on sale, the price shown is a single payment, not a subscription, and it buys what the store page lists at the time you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe. After payment you receive a licence key, for your own use, that unlocks the game in your browser.

Refunds. If you are not happy, write through the contact page within 14 days of buying, with the email address you paid with, and we refund you in full. No reason is needed. The key stops working once the refund is made.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law of your country gives you, including the rights you have when digital content is faulty or not as described.

5. The waitlist

Leaving your address on the waitlist is not an order and commits you to nothing.

6. Accounts

You do not need an account. Signing in with Google is optional and only carries your save and purchase between devices. You can delete the account in Settings at any time.

7. The daily board

A name you post to the board is public. Do not post a name that is abusive, hateful, or someone else's. We may remove any line.

8. What you send us

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve the game without owing you anything.

9. Ownership

The game, its text, art, sound and code belong to the maker of Carrion Sun and are protected by copyright. The open-source parts it is built with remain under their own licences, listed here.

10. No warranty

The game and this website are provided as they are and as available. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that they will be uninterrupted, free of errors, or fit for a particular purpose.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data or saves, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer.

12. Ending

You can stop playing at any time. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms, and we may change or end the demo.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where the maker lives. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. If a change matters, we will say so on the website. For anything about these terms, use the contact page. How we handle data is set out on the privacy page.
